  • Introduction

Ideally placed within a 5-minute drive of the old town, our home is also within easy reach of Tring, Watford, and the cathedral city of St Albans.

Queensway House was the first Gold Care home to open back in 1999, and has become a beacon of outstanding care practice.  We provide support for people living with a range of differing health needs, including residential, nursing and dementia care and we offer care on a long-term, or short-term and respite basis.

Our spacious home benefits from a variety of lounge and dining spaces, as well as a movie room, hair salon and a reading room.  We also benefit from a large garden where our residents can enjoy some gardening, a gentle stroll or even afternoon tea with family and friends in the sunshine.

In addition to the communal spaces, every resident benefits from their own generous and well-appointed bedroom with en-suite facilities.

Our dedicated activities team arrange a programme of varied and interesting events and activities, ensuring our residents always have plenty to do to keep their minds and bodies occupied, whilst our chef and kitchen team ensure the food on offer stimulates the taste buds as well as being healthy and full of nutrients.

We believe Queensway House offers exceptional care, and the opportunity for our residents to live a life of their choosing supported to do so by caring, compassionate and empathetic staff.
