Care Home Rating & Reviews

My father lived in the home for 22 months, during this time we felt strongly as a family that he was well-loved. He enjoyed his time here and the staff was AMAZING to him, even though at times he could be difficult. We were surprised and delighted that so many of his carers visited him in hospital in his last 2 weeks. Each and every member of staff that my wife and I encountered were true professionals and a credit to the home. We tell all our friends how lucky we were to have found this home for our father and cannot recommend the home highly enough.

Excellent facilities. First class care. A professional staff of the highest quality. Since my mother has been here in the year and a half, standards have remained extremely high.

(Daughter of Resident)

Staff have been very supportive to Mum, who has struggled to settle in. Mum has now made new friends and her health and wellbeing have greatly improved. The facilities are fantastic and Mum reports the food is lovely. The staff communicates well and always keeps me informed and updated.
Would highly recommend the home.

My mum is a current resident and has been in the home since June 2020, after being diagnosed as terminally ill in hospital, and I can honestly say from my first call to the Manager until now I cannot fault this home in any way. It took a lot of adjustment for my mum to move into the home and they have all been amazing, especially with the current COVID situation, nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff and I cannot thank them enough for the care they are giving my mum. My mum actually loves being there now. I definitely would recommend this care home.
Thank you to all the staff.

    Meaningful and fulfilling activities

At every stage in life, maintaining your physical and mental health is important. We believe the key to this is to keep your mind, body, and soul stimulated and engaged every day, and this is a fundamental element of how we operate our homes.

In every home in our group, we have a dedicated activities coordinator who, in conjunction with the wishes of the residents, creates a varied program of activities and celebrations. We encourage everyone to participate and join in the fun and comradery that these events can bring. We like to welcome new residents to our activity programme by incorporating their favourite activities, expanding our selection for all the community to enjoy. Designed to engage our residents both physically and mentally, our activity programmes are also a source of great fun and help residents to live life to the fullest.

Most activities take place indoors. However, when the weather permits, we take maximum advantage of our lovely outdoor patio areas and adjoining gardens and also arrange local and national trips.

    No barriers to activity

For every resident, in every setting, be it residential, nursing, or those living with dementia, everyone receives support to be mentally and physically active to enhance their experience while they are staying us. We recognise that independent activity, hobbies, and day-to-day tasks boost an individuals’ self-confidence. We appreciate individual needs and understand their capabilities as part of our person-centred care, as a result; we can be the support they need at the time that they need it.

    Dedicated Activity Coordinators

Our Activity Coordinators establish activities that our residents enjoy at a frequency that maintains engagement. Some are scheduled so that a routine can be established, and others are organised and promoted so that our residents can look forward to a special occasion together. The coordinators will also discover what additional events and activities each resident would like to see and, where feasible, incorporate those ideas into something that all residents can participate in. Residents’ birthdays and special milestones are also celebrated together.

We support our residents to maintain an active, healthy life within the home and the local community by having strong links with local groups. These relationships are designed to promote socialisation, mobility, interaction, independence, and self-confidence and to positively influence their health and well-being.

Activities for Residents living with dementia

For residents who live with dementia or require support with their mental health, speech therapies are just one way in which we can provide assistance. Other mediums such as touch, sense, colours, music, animal interaction, and activities that encourage reminiscence memory can stimulate mental agility and provide positive outcomes for our residents.
