Martins House Help Doreen Sansom Celebrate A Century of Life
Martins House celebrated Doreen's 100th birthday last week. COVID conscientious and with protective measures in place, the team at Martins House pulled a stupendous event out of the bag, with decorations, flowers, cake and surrounded by loved ones in the garden while Doreen watched from the conservatory. All Hail Her Majesty, The Queen!
St Katharine's Care Home in Wantage took the opportunity to reminisce on past times our residents enjoyed during the lifespan of the Queen. Taking out the fine china and making delicious treats in honour of Her Majesty's birthday, the St Katharine's team went to exceptional efforts to create a royal celebration for all.
The Bells are Ringing for Drayton Garden Village Care Centre
A loved resident of Drayton Village Care Centre, sadly passed on recently. However his dear wife, Ms Sheila Ashe surprised Gold Care Homes with a tribute to the Drayton team by calling for her community to clap for them in efforts to show her appreciation for their hard work and sincerity. #SparkleforSocialCare is an initiative instigated by the Care Sector Ball to support The Care Worker's Charity who offer hardship grants to those working in care. The CWC work tirelessly to support our front line carers and those working in care who are being effected by COVID-19 and Gold Care Homes have joined the movement and been adorning themselves with gold tinsel, make up and creating glittery pieces of art. The annual Earth Day event is approaching us, on 22nd April 2020 for its 50th anniversary! With the coronavirus outbreak, we unfortunately won't be celebrating ways to protect our planet with those in our community, but we invite you all to unite with us in standing up to join the world's largest movement.
