Nursing Care
Nursing Care is needed when the needs of an individual cannot be met solely by a carer, and they require specialist support or intervention by a qualified nurse. The majority of Gold Care homes provide nursing care on a long-term or short-term basis, with highly trained and dedicated staff on hand 24 hours a day to support your loved one.
We can support a wide range of nursing needs, whether they are to help with the ongoing symptoms of progressive illnesses like Parkinson’s or Motor Neurone Disease, or recovery from short-term illness such as Stroke, our qualified nursing team can provide the specialised care that is needed to live comfortably.
Our wonderful nursing teams provide care respectfully and compassionately, taking time to ensure that we not only meet the physical needs of our resident, but understand the emotional impact that living with long-term illness or physical frailty can present.
Inside our homes, practical design features ensure that our teams can deliver care easily. Bedrooms are accessible to wheelchairs and other specialist equipment, as well as being equipped with call bells and profiling beds. They’re homely and comfortable too, furnished with everything our resident needs although we always encourage our residents to personalise their rooms to get them just the way they like them.  Many have ensuite wet rooms too, allowing personal care to be delivered in the privacy of their own room.
Our activities and wellbeing programme also recognises that some residents may not be able to participate in group exercises or activities due to their condition. Personalised one-to-one time ensures that nobody is excluded.
We know that living with nursing needs can be difficult for the family and friends of our residents too, so our teams are on hand to help from the moment you first get in touch. Click here to find your nearest care home today and see how we can help with your nursing care requirements.
