We’re pleased to share that residents, families and colleagues from The New Deanery and St Mary’s Court came together to raise over £250 for Macmillan Cancer Support!
On 25th September, around 30 people joined us for a joint Macmillan Coffee Morning, bringing together our two care home communities to enjoy some homemade cakes, refreshments and good company, all while supporting an important cause.
And of course, no Macmillan Coffee Morning would be complete without plenty of cake!
Our freshly baked treats proved particularly popular with residents, while everyone had the chance to catch up with familiar faces and spend time with friends and family.
Here’s a little glimpse of our Macmillan fundraising display:

One of the things we value about being part of the same care home community is having opportunities to come together, and our Macmillan Coffee Morning was a great example of this.
It was lovely to see residents, relatives and colleagues from both homes joining forces to support a charity that makes such a difference to people affected by cancer.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised just over £250 for Macmillan Cancer Support!
A big thank you to everyone who baked, donated, attended or helped organise the event. We’re proud of what our two homes achieved together, and grateful to everyone who contributed.
