Our wonderful residents at The New Deanery Care Home recently enjoyed a fantastic day out when they headed to the bowling alley for a friendly game together.
The outing was part of The New Deanery’s regular trips out, giving residents the chance to enjoy a change of scenery, try something a little different and spend time together outside the home.
It didn’t take long for the competitive spirit to kick in. As soon as the first bowls rolled down the lane, the room filled with laughter, cheers and plenty of encouragement from the sidelines. Our residents celebrated every strike, spare and lucky bounce, making it a fun and lively afternoon for everyone involved.
Here are just a few of our favourite moments from the day:
One resident even joked after a particularly impressive turn that they should have been a professional bowler, which had the whole group laughing.
One of our incredible Activities Coordinators, Regina, said it was wonderful to see residents embracing the friendly competition and enjoying the day together.
Trips like this are always a highlight, giving residents the chance to stay active, socialise and create new memories together. Judging by the smiles and laughter throughout the afternoon, it’s safe to say this bowling trip was right up everyone’s alley (excuse the pun!)
