If there’s one thing we’ve enjoyed plenty of recently at St Stephen’s, it’s music.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve welcomed some fantastic entertainers into the home, and every visit has brought something a little different. Whether it was celebrating St George’s Day with the Worcester Ukulele Group, dancing along to a Buddy Holly tribute for International Day of Dance or waving our glow sticks during our Eurovision party, there has been no shortage of singing, laughter and smiling faces.
What we love most is that everyone joins in in their own way. Some residents are straight up on their feet for a dance, others can’t resist singing every word, while some are happiest sitting back, clapping along and enjoying the atmosphere. There is never any pressure, just plenty of opportunities to enjoy the music together.
One of our favourite things to see is how quickly a room changes when the first song begins. Conversations stop, toes start tapping and before long someone is asking for another favourite. Those moments are always lovely to watch, and they remind us just how powerful familiar music can be.

These are just a few of our favourite photos from recent celebrations, but they capture exactly what life at St Stephen’s is all about. Spending time together, trying new things, having a laugh and making sure there is always something for everyone to enjoy.
We’re already looking forward to seeing who’ll be performing next!
