We were delighted to host a truly special Family and Friends BBQ in our garden to celebrate Care Home Open Week. With around 50 people joining us, including our wonderful residents, team, families, and members of our local community, it was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together and enjoy a relaxed summer afternoon.
Our residents particularly loved the food, with the burgers and homemade potato salad proving to be favourites and to be honest… the weather couldn’t have been more perfect!
A huge thank you to our incredible catering team who went above and beyond, preparing a beautiful selection of fresh salads and delicious desserts, while Katie and Richard did an excellent job looking after the BBQ.
Here are just a few of our favourite photos captured from the day:

One of our BBQ highlights was the live entertainment provided by our very own Charmaine, who brought so much joy with her singing. It inspired many of our residents to join in, including Sarah, who later shared:
“It was amazing to sing Mamma Mia with Charmaine.”
This moment was especially meaningful, as it was the very first event Sarah has taken part in during her time living at St Katharine’s House, which was a truly heart warming milestone for everyone involved.
Our Home Manager, shared how wonderful it was to see so many residents able to attend and take part, creating such a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. The day offered something for everyone from dancing and singing along, to simply sitting back and enjoying the sunshine with loved ones.
