At Beachcroft House Care Home, St George’s Day gave everyone a lovely excuse to come together and celebrate.
Our wonderful residents were joined by family members, staff and one of the home’s regular entertainers for an afternoon filled with music, dancing and good company, with around 60 people taking part in the celebrations.
As the music started, it did not take long for the atmosphere to build. Some residents were quick to join in, singing along and dancing, while others enjoyed sitting back, chatting with family and simply taking it all in. It felt relaxed and sociable, with lots of little moments happening naturally around the room.
For many of our residents, the highlight of the afternoon was the music. Familiar songs always seem to bring people together, and there was plenty of laughter, clapping and encouragement as people got involved in their own way. One resident summed the afternoon up simply, saying “The room was filled with joy and happiness.”
Our incredible Activities Coordinator, Sandra, reflected on the day and shared:
“It was a joy to see the interactions between residents and staff and everybody having a great time.”
There were also some lovely moments captured throughout the afternoon, with residents, families and team members all joining in the celebrations together. If you would like to see more photos from the day, you can visit the Beachcroft House Facebook page.
At Beachcroft House, celebrations like this are a chance to bring everyone together. Whether it is music, dancing or simply spending time with familiar faces, these shared moments are often the ones residents enjoy most.
