We did it! Together, our Kent House community raised an amazing £114.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
On 25th September, around 30 residents, relatives, friends and colleagues joined us at Kent House for our Macmillan Coffee Morning, all helping us support a cause that means so much to people across the country.
Our lounge was soon busy with cups of tea and coffee, homemade cakes and biscuits, and plenty of people catching up around the tables.
And, naturally, we managed to squeeze in a little friendly competition too.
Here are just a few of our favourite photos from the day:

Bingo proved particularly popular, with residents cheering each other on and celebrating their wins between trips to the cake table.
One resident told us:
“It was a lovely morning. The cakes were delicious, and I really enjoyed playing Bingo with my friends.”
But the best result of the morning was the one we achieved together.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised a fantastic £114.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Our Home Manager, Ebbie Azigwe, was unable to join us on the day but loved seeing the photographs afterwards. She said:
“It was wonderful to see our residents, team, families, and visitors coming together to support such an important cause.”
To everyone who donated, baked, joined us for a cuppa, bought a treat or helped behind the scenes, we want to say a huge thank you. Every contribution played a part in reaching our £114.50 total.
At Kent House, we love opening our doors and bringing residents, families, friends and our team together, particularly when we can use that time to support something bigger than ourselves.
We’re incredibly proud of what our Kent House community achieved together, and very pleased that eating cake helped us get there! 💚
