There was plenty to celebrate at Brackenbridge House as our wonderful resident Lorna celebrated her 93rd birthday surrounded by her family, fellow residents and our team.
Known around our home for her cheerful personality, caring nature and wonderful sense of humour, Lorna loves spending time with others, sharing stories and making those around her smile. Most importantly, she treasures time with her family, particularly the moments she spends chatting and reminiscing with her daughter.
So, when her 93rd birthday came around, we wanted to make sure she felt just how loved she is.
Our team decorated the room ready for the occasion and arranged a special birthday cake for Lorna to enjoy. Her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren joined us for the celebration, making the day even more meaningful.
Here are just a few of our favourite photos from Lorna’s special day:

With everyone gathered around, we sang Happy Birthday as Lorna proudly cut her cake and blew out her candles. She was also treated to thoughtful cards, flowers and chocolates from her family, alongside plenty of birthday wishes from our team.
It was clear how much the celebration meant to Lorna, who became emotional seeing everyone come together for her special day. For us, these are the moments that make birthdays at Brackenbridge House so important. They are not simply about marking another year, but celebrating the individual, the people they love and the memories and relationships that mean the most to them.
From all of us at Brackenbridge House, we hope you had the happiest 93rd birthday, Lorna. It was a privilege to celebrate such a special day with you, and we wish you many more happy moments surrounded by those you love. Happy Birthday! 🎂
