We’ve certainly been making the most of our days out here at Baugh House Care Centre!
On 1st October, our activities team organised two outings for our residents, with a morning of shopping at Ruxley Manor Garden Centre followed by an afternoon visiting the animals at Christmas Tree Farm.
And with some lovely autumn sunshine to enjoy, it was a great day to get out and about!
A morning at Ruxley Manor Garden Centre
Our residents Sylvia, Pamela, Zelha and Jean headed to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, accompanied by members of our activities team.
The morning was all about enjoying a change of scenery, having a look around the garden centre and doing a little shopping.
There was plenty to see, with the fish proving a particular favourite for one of our residents, who told us:
“I enjoyed seeing the fish.”
Here are just a few photos from the our garden centre trip:

An afternoon with the farm animals!
The afternoon brought something a little different, as Carol, Nieves, Margaret and Beverley enjoyed a visit to Christmas Tree Farm.
This was a new experience for our residents and team, with the opportunity to meet and feed the animals proving particularly popular.
One of our residents shared:
“I loved seeing all the lovely farm animals.”
Here’s a couple of photos with the lovely animals:

The outings were such a success that our team are already planning to return!
Our General Manager at Baugh House, Maryam, said:
“It’s lovely to see our residents getting out and about and enjoying such a variety of experiences. We know everyone has different interests, so our activities team works hard to offer outings that give residents plenty of choice, whether that’s a trip to the shops, spending time outdoors or trying somewhere completely new. I’m really pleased everyone enjoyed themselves, and a big thank you to our team for making these trips possible!”
At Baugh House, we know how important it is for our residents to continue enjoying days out, exploring different places and trying new experiences.
Our regular outings give residents opportunities to enjoy their own interests, whether that’s browsing the shops, spending time outdoors, meeting animals or discovering somewhere new.
We love offering a variety of experiences so there’s something to appeal to different interests and preferences, with our activities team helping residents get involved in the outings they’d like to enjoy.
A big thank you to Susan, Lacey, Helen and Nicola for organising and supporting the trips. We’re already looking forward to seeing where our next outings take us.
