This summer, we had the pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone as Broxbourne Nursing Home turned four years old.
Over the past four years, our home has grown into so much more than just a place to live. We have become a vibrant community where our wonderful residents, families and team have shared countless memories, celebrated life’s milestones together and built lasting friendships.
To mark the occasion, we welcomed residents, relatives, friends and members of our local community for an afternoon of celebration in our beautiful gardens. We were also honoured to be joined by the Mayor of Broxbourne, Councillor Patsy Spears, alongside Councillor George Nicolaou, who helped us celebrate this important chapter in our journey.
The celebrations brought together so many of the people who have helped shape Broxbourne over the last four years. The weather definitely held out, with the sun shining down on our lovely garden! Our residents enjoyed an afternoon outside with their loved ones, with everyone coming together for our BBQ before raising a slice of anniversary cake to mark this milestone.
Here’s a sneak peek from our celebrations:

These are just a handful of our favourite moments from the day. To see even more photos from our fourth anniversary celebrations, head over to our Facebook page.
Hearing the kind words from both councillors made the celebration even more special. They spoke about the dedication of our team and the welcoming home that has been created here over the last four years – something we’re incredibly proud of and grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey for helping us achieve.
Reflecting on the milestone, our wonderful Home Manager, Kathleen, has said:
“I would like to say a huge thank you to my incredible team for their continued hard work and dedication. Thank you also to the friends and families of those who have chosen to make Broxbourne Nursing Home their home, and to the local community, for their ongoing support. Most importantly, thank you to our residents, our home would not be the wonderful place it is without you.”
As we celebrate four fantastic years, we’re also looking ahead with excitement. Community has always been at the heart of everything we do, whether that’s through celebrations like this or events that bring people together to learn, connect and support one another.
We’re looking forward to welcoming the local community back through our doors on 27th August for our Scam Awareness and Prevention Talk with Helen Green from Age UK Hertfordshire, and we hope to see many familiar and new faces there.
To everyone who has been part of our journey so far: our residents, families, colleagues, volunteers and local community – thank you for making the past four years so memorable. Here’s to many more years of friendship, laughter and creating wonderful moments together at Broxbourne Nursing Home.
