We were delighted to host a vibrant World Cup-themed BBQ Open Day as part of Care Home Open Week. During our BBQ, we welcomed and hosted our wonderful residents, team, families, friends, and members of the local community to celebrate.
Our garden was transformed with a lively football theme, and it was wonderful to see so many people embracing the occasion by wearing their favourite football shirts. Our residents especially enjoyed being part of such a fun and engaging event, with many taking pride in supporting their chosen teams alongside the team and visitors.
The BBQ was a real highlight, with plenty of delicious food and refreshing drinks for everyone to enjoy, including a traditional summer favourite of Pimms. We also welcomed the talented Cheryl King who added a fantastic musical backdrop to the day, encouraging residents and guests to sing along, dance, and fully join in the celebrations. We had a variety of activities available for all ages, including our football goal challenge which added a playful touch and kept spirits high throughout the afternoon.
Here are just a few of our favourite photos that we captured on the day:

We were also honoured to welcome a very special guest to Brackenbridge House, Reeta Chamdal, the newly elected Mayor of Hillingdon, whose visit was greatly appreciated by us all. She spent time chatting with everyone and added to the already wonderful day.
Our incredible Deputy Manager, Jaskirat, shared:
“It was truly rewarding to see so many smiling faces and such a strong sense of togetherness amongst our residents and local community. The day perfectly reflected the welcoming and inclusive spirit at Brackenbridge House.”
Events like our BBQ Open Day are just one of the many ways we create meaningful moments for our residents while strengthening our connections with the local community. At Brackenbridge House, we believe exceptional care is about so much more than meeting daily needs. It’s about creating opportunities to laugh, celebrate, build friendships and continue enjoying life every single day.
