At Hatfield Nursing Home, Easter gave us a lovely excuse to slow down, spend time together and enjoy a few simple things done well, good company, sweet treats and a bit of music.
Our Easter party brought residents and team members together for an afternoon that felt relaxed and full of little moments to enjoy. Tables were filled with homemade treats prepared by our chefs, colourful decorations and, of course, plenty of Easter hats that quickly became part of the fun. Around 20 residents joined in, each enjoying the day in their own way.
One of the highlights was live entertainment from Nick Denny (otherwise known as DJ NJ), whose music soon had people singing along, clapping and even getting up for a dance or two. It was lovely seeing familiar songs bring people together so naturally, with residents encouraging one another and simply enjoying being in the moment.
The photos really say it all. Residents sat chatting over cakes and savouries, sharing laughs with team members, while others proudly showed off their Easter hats and posed for pictures together. There is something especially nice about seeing these little friendships and connections shine through. Here are just a few of our favourite moments captured:

Our wonderful team, including Fifi and the care staff, helped make the day feel special without any fuss, just a warm, easy atmosphere where everyone felt included.
One resident summed the day up perfectly, asking: “DJ NJ is great, when is he coming back?” which we think says everything really.
At Hatfield Nursing Home, celebrations like these are never really about doing anything extravagant, we just love to have the opportunity to spend time together, enjoying the little things and creating moments that brighten everyday life.
