It has been a wonderful season of celebrations at Broxbourne Nursing Home as we marked two incredible milestones with the birthdays of two of our residents.
In December, we celebrated Kay’s remarkable 102nd birthday, followed by another special celebration in February for Kate, who turned 103. These milestone birthdays brought our residents, team members and members of the local community together to share two truly memorable occasions.
Both celebrations were filled with music, conversation and plenty of smiles. Our residents enjoyed live entertainment, while mulled wine and birthday cake were served as everyone gathered to celebrate the special milestones together.
Kay expressed her satisfaction with the event and was filled with joy and remarked
“I cannot believe I am 102 years old!”
Here are some of our favourite moments from the days celebrating these two special ladies:
We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor of Broxbourne along with members of Cheshunt U3A, who joined our residents in marking the occasions. Many residents enjoyed the opportunity to chat with the Mayor and appreciated the time she spent engaging with everyone throughout the celebration.
One resident commented how pleasantly surprised they were by the visit, describing the Mayor as very friendly and welcoming.
Our team member, Vivi, said:
“It was lovely for the community to get involved with our home, especially the Mayor joining us to celebrate.”
The Mayor also shared kind feedback about the home, commenting on how welcoming and modern the environment felt and how happy our residents appeared.
Celebrating such incredible birthdays is always a special moment for our whole community. These celebrations brought everyone together and created joyful memories for our residents, their families and our team at Broxbourne Nursing Home.
