We’ve been getting creative again at Partridge House, and just look at these colourful little gardens our residents have made!
On 15th September, five of our residents joined our Activities Coordinator, Charlotte, for an arts and crafts session, creating their own miniature gardens complete with colourful flowers, leaves, butterflies and little ladybirds.
With plenty of colours and decorations to choose from, everyone had the freedom to design their garden exactly how they wanted it.
Our residents enjoyed experimenting with different arrangements, moving flowers and decorations around until they were happy with their designs before gluing everything into place.
And we think the finished creations look fantastic!
Here are a few of our favourite photos from the session:

One of our lovely residents, June, was particularly pleased with her creation, telling us:
“They are beautiful, and we can add lots of extra details. I love the ladybirds.”
Charlotte also enjoyed seeing the different designs take shape, particularly the opportunity to experiment with the layouts before everything was fixed into place.
What makes these little gardens even more special is that they can be displayed in the memory boxes outside our residents’ rooms.
These boxes offer an opportunity for residents to add their own personal touches to the space outside their rooms, reflecting their interests, personalities and the things they enjoy.
For this activity, everyone could choose their favourite colours, flowers and decorations, creating something that felt personal to them. From bright pink flowers to tiny ladybirds, no two gardens turned out quite the same!
At Partridge House, we love finding ways for our residents to express their individuality and feel at home in their surroundings. Activities like this give them the freedom to make their own choices, get creative and produce something they can proudly display.
