Our wonderful residents enjoyed an afternoon of music, dancing and colourful celebrations as we came together to mark Pride Month at Kent House Care Home.
More than 14 of our residents enjoyed taking part in the celebration, with rainbow flags displayed throughout the home to mark the occasion. The dance floor was soon filled with residents enjoying some of their favourite songs, while our team joined in to make sure everyone could take part.
One of the biggest talking points of the day was the Pride cake, which our residents couldn’t wait to admire before sitting down to enjoy a slice together. Alongside the music and decorations, it quickly became one of the highlights of the celebration.
Reflecting on the afternoon, one of our residents said,
“Everyone was smiling. It was such a happy celebration.”
Our Home Manager, Ebbie, said,
“I’m incredibly proud of how our residents and our team came together to celebrate Pride Month. Seeing everyone dancing, laughing and enjoying the Pride cake reminded me why these occasions matter. They bring people together and celebrate the wonderful community we have here at Kent House.”

At Kent House Care Home, we believe every resident should feel valued, respected and able to be themselves. Celebrating occasions such as Pride Month gives our residents the opportunity to come together, enjoy new experiences and be part of a home where inclusion and kindness are part of everyday life.
