Our wonderful residents at Burrows House enjoyed a familiar summer favourite on 22nd July 2026, as our team marked National Ice Cream Day with an afternoon of ice cream and time spent together outdoors.
Around 20 of our residents and our team took part in the celebration, making the most of the pleasant weather while enjoying a selection of ice cream treats. With the recent warm weather in mind, our team made sure there was plenty of shade beneath the gazebo, so our residents could enjoy being outside while staying cool and comfortable. It was a simple but thoughtful way to make the most of a summer afternoon together.

Celebrating National Ice Cream Day has become a tradition at Burrows House, giving our residents something enjoyable to look forward to each year. After all, who doesn’t love an ice cream, especially with the weather we’ve recently had!
Reflecting on the occasion, our incredible Home Manager, Maryam, said:
“The celebration was well received and showed how much our residents appreciated the effort that went into organising the afternoon by our team.”
At Burrows House, it is often the little details that make a difference. From providing a comfortable, shaded spot to enjoy the sunshine to continuing traditions our residents look forward to each year, our team takes the time to make activities enjoyable, personal and suited to the needs of those we care for.
