Sometimes, a change of scenery, a little shopping and something nice to eat is just what you need!
That’s exactly what our residents at The Triangle Care Home enjoyed during a recent trip to Mill View Garden Centre in Wheatley.
Brenda, Mavis, Susan and Carolyn headed out with Charlotte, our Activities Coordinator, as part of our regular monthly outings.
The group enjoyed taking their time exploring the garden centre, browsing the displays and spending time together away from the home. And, of course, no garden centre trip would be complete without stopping for something tasty to eat!
Our residents certainly enjoyed themselves, with the verdict being a simple:
“It was a lovely day out!”
Making the most of our local community
At The Triangle, we know how important it is for our residents to continue enjoying the everyday things they love, whether that’s visiting somewhere familiar, exploring somewhere new or simply heading out for a bite to eat.
Our monthly outings are a regular part of life here, giving residents opportunities to spend time together, enjoy a change of scenery and stay connected with the community around us.
Our Home Manager, Aimee, shared:
“We always encourage our residents to continue enjoying the things they love, and getting out into the local community is a big part of that. It doesn’t always have to be a big event or a special occasion. Sometimes, a trip to the garden centre and a nice lunch is exactly what our residents fancy! We want everyone at The Triangle to have opportunities to get out, make their own choices and enjoy experiences that are important to them.”
A big thank you to Charlotte and Ursula for supporting our wonderful residents on their outing.
We’re already looking forward to seeing where our next trip takes us!
