Recently, we enjoyed a country and western-themed day at St David’s Care Home on 17th September, with around 20 of our residents and team members joining in, to enjoy a selection of country classics, sing along and have a little dance.
Of course, we couldn’t have a country-themed day without the cowboy hats! These were a big hit with our residents, who enjoyed trying them on and getting into the spirit of the occasion.
Keith particularly enjoyed wearing his cowboy hat while listening to the music, and we managed to capture some lovely photos of everyone getting involved.
Here are a few of our favourite moments from the day:

Music is always a popular choice here at St David’s, and we love putting on different themed activities for our residents to enjoy.
Some were happy singing along to familiar favourites, while others preferred to sit back, listen and enjoy spending time with friends and our team.
It’s important to us that our residents have opportunities to enjoy their interests, try something different and get involved in activities that appeal to them.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our country and western day. We had a great time, and we’re already looking forward to our next themed activity!
And who knows, perhaps we’ll see those cowboy hats make another appearance soon!
