Residents at Baugh House were thrilled as they visited The Highway Primary School to enjoy their fireworks display. The event took place Thursday, 3rd November, and included warm blankets and refreshments.
Before the trip, the group began reminiscing about their favourite childhood and family outings in anticipation. The group arrived at the school at 6.30 pm and was greeted with fantastic hospitality by the team. The fireworks were magnificent and created a magical atmosphere enjoyed by all. Residents at Baugh House also had the opportunity to meet the children from the school along with members of their staffing team.
Baugh House always strives to arrange fun and engaging activities to make each day unique and fulfilling. This was the care home’s first outdoor event in over two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic making it even more special. This night was a success, and the team at Baugh House will continue embroiling their residents in more exciting activities to bring them nothing short of happiness.
Resident Sylvester said, “this was a fantastic fireworks display, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to see this. I cannot wait to see what else our home plans for us.’’
Lauren Keener, Senior CRM, and Resident Experience Manager, “It was a pleasure to share this experience with our residents, and we cannot wait to organise future events. ‘’
Juliet Gallop, Care Home Manager, ‘’ We take great pride in fulfilling our resident’s wishes and this was a long-awaited trip requested by our residents. Their smiles were priceless and a true testament to their joy and happiness. This trip brought back joyous memories and we cannot wait to create more with our wonderful family at Baugh House. ‘’
Baugh House thanks The Highway Primary School for hosting this wonderful display of fireworks and would like to say a special thanks to all our carers and our maintenance man Garry who came to support us. You have enabled our residents to enjoy a fantastic firework night.
