Since 1999, Gold Care Homes has been redefining the care industry, providing exceptional care for our residents across 22 care homes. Our aim is to provide expert care within our family-orientated developments. We do this by striving to deliver the best service we can while ensuring our committed health care professionals have the passion to deliver an excellent service. Recruiting staff that meet our corporate values has been fundamental to our success.

Ravi Gidar – CEO

Ravi Gidar, along with his brother Sukhi has helped redefine the care industry by providing exceptional care and living for all residents within Gold Care Homes. Fuelled by his passion for the care industry, Ravi brings forth more than 25 years of experience. Ravi has ensured family traditions and values were created and maintained within the business culture that is unique, diverse and cohesive.

Sukhi Gidar – Director

Sukhi Gidar is a former Pharmacist who shared a very similar vision to that of his brother. Sukhi wanted to renovate the care industry by establishing care homes that would be able to provide exceptional quality care for all their residents. Sukhi oversees all operations concerning the property elements of the business.

Sunil Cheekoory – Chief of Care, Quality & Governance

Sunil first began working in the care industry, as a care assistant, over 30 years ago. Since then, he has gained a wealth of experience; achieving a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and performing various roles for non-profit organisations, the public and private sectors. Sunil’s value-based management approach, commercial experience and genuine passion for care positions him as a leader within the industry. Today, he uses his in-depth understanding of frontline services to lead our teams.

Jaison Jacob – Chief Financial Officer

Jaison has been working in the care industry since 2001, joining Gold Care Homes in 2014. Jaison has a passion for care as he once cared for his father who was diagnosed with dementia in 1997. He has also worked closely with young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. This experience allowed Jaison to appreciate the value of others, from residents who he cares for to fellow team members who are at the forefront of delivering exceptional care. Jaison has also qualified in accountancy and finance while holding a law degree.

Amit Chopra – Business and Estates Director

Amit has been working for Gold Care Homes for over four years. Before joining Gold Care Homes, Amit worked within the hospitality sector, managing Radisson and Oakward Arms. Amit, however, soon realised his passion is in care and he wanted to join an organisation that wanted nothing more than to provide exceptional care to all its residents. Amit’s role is crucial as he ensures the organisation continues to operate within a smooth, fluid motion.

Vicky Craddock – Head of Operations

Victoria started her career as a nurse at age 18 before becoming a qualified nurse at age 21. She began her journey in the care industry in the early 90s’ and has since held various senior management positions in care-related organisations. Victoria has a wealth of experience leading senior teams to deliver the best service to the people we support. Victoria brings a pragmatic approach to working, with the ability to achieve a balance between the deliverance of exceptional quality of care and commercial management. She believes we must achieve a balance to be successful. Victoria believes the people we support must be at the heart of everything we do.

Jonathan Johnson – Regional Manager – South Region

Jonathan has worked in healthcare for over 18 years and has a wealth of experience. Initially spending 6 years working in Public Health and five years as a Unit Manager and Regional Director for a provider of Kidney Replacement Therapy or Dialysis (Fresenuis Medical Care) for people who live with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Jonathan then worked for Diaverum UK taking on a region of Dialysis Clinics, supporting the growth amibitions of the company. An opportunity arose to work for BUPA and since then Jonathon has worked with people living with profound learning and physical difficulties, as well as older people living with Dementia, related conditions and co-morbidities. Jonathan believes the importance of the social care work and the lives we touch through the strength of Professional Carers, Nurses and Ancillary Teams has become increasingly important in todays society.

Lucy Yao – Central Regional Manager

Lucy started her career in nursing and has over 20 years experience, working in intensive care, orthopaedics and with the elderly. She has held various management positions within the care home sector and completed level 7 in strategic leadership and management, more recently completing her MBA. Lucy’s passion is to make a positive difference in other people’s lives, to build skilled and compassionate teams, so that we can deliver top level sustainable quality care to our residents. Lucy’s combination of academic qualifications,  nursing and management experience bring a wealth of knowledge to Gold Care Homes.

Luminita-Nicoleta-Safta – Acting Regional Manager

Lumi started her career as a Care Assistant 11 years ago and has developed skills and experience in a variety of roles within care homes, progressing upwards to Home Manager. Lumi’s hands on experience through the care home system, gives her great insight into the needs of dementia and vulnerable adults.

Lumi joined Gold Care Homes in March 2020 and works in partnership with the Regional Director, providing care home managers the support they need to deliver excellent customer service and adhere to high quality standards. Lumi gives strong leadership and direction which creates a positive working environment and believes good practice is gained through training and development.

My late wife stayed in the Acton Care Home from the end of April 2018 until 21 September 2018 on which day she died there. In that time my wife was looked after in an excellent manner. All the nurses who cared for my wife were excellent, very professional and also very warm and friendly. My wife’s dignity was totally respected. It’s hard to describe the happiness you feel in this building. The staff really care. I called Dad the other day and could hear music, when I asked him what it was he laughed and said they sing and dance, it makes us laugh. Sums it up really. I visit my Aunt on average three to four times a year and I always notify the staff at Burrows House of my forthcoming visit. Each time I visit I am constantly impressed by the care and kindness towards my Aunt by the staff, all staff. Her physical care is excellent. She is well presented. She is treated with dignity. The staff understand her needs and appear to know her well. Her room is cosy and clean.

We got in touch with St Katherine’s for respite care for Mum when she was extremely unwell with dehydration. They were extremely compassionate and helpful to us when we were in a situation that we were finding difficult to deal with.
