Our Activities Co-ordinators play a fundamental part in delivering our mission of enhancing the lives of our residents by creating a fun and hugely varied program for everyone to participate. A great source of fun and laughter, our range of activities really help each resident live their life to the full. Here at Gold Care Homes, we believe independent activity, hobbies and day to day chores boast self confidence. By taking the time to understand each residents capabilities, we’re able to build a personalized activity plan.
A good hobby often lasts for life, bring many, many hours of fun, enjoyment and fulfilment. At Gold Care, we do everything we can to encourage hobbies, be they knitting a range of pullovers for the family or tramping around the Great Outdoors looking for a Great Busted.
Not only do hobbies like these bring an enormous amount of pleasure, they bring back wonderful memoires and help keep the mind active, so essential for wellbeing.
Some of the hobbies we actively encourage include…
Baking & cooking
Hardly a day goes by without something going on to entertain our residents. In fact, many are spoiled for choice, not looking for something to do, but having to make a tough choice between the events on offer.
This wide range of events is so important when it comes to keeping people happy. If we can keep smiles on everyone’s faces, quality of live improves dramatically.
Here are Just a few of the regular events across our homes…
Health & Wellbeing
Healthy body, healthy mind they say. And they’re right. That’s why we run a host of health and wellbeing classes designed to keep all our residents as agile as they can be.
But our classes aren’t just good for the body. These fun, social activities are a great way to spend time with friends and stimulate the spirit too.
A change is as good as rest and there’s nothing like a nice day out to get spirits soaring.
That’s why we arrange a huge range of outings to get our residents out and about. The latest West End play, a big blockbuster movie, a nice day out freshening up the wardrobe or simply a coach tour to see the autumn leaves, there’s something to keep everyone entertained and give everyone something to look forward to.
