Let us introduce you to Jade, a multi-talented, kind and compassionate lady, whose career started at Martins House in 2020.
Jade is a hardworking, excellent carer who takes the time to listen, showing great empathy and respect to our residents.
Jade has recently gone over and above her daily duties to enrich the lives of both her residents and colleagues, by personally hand painting some amazing murals on the walls of the Butterfly Unit corridor in her free time.
Each piece painted depicts services you would find in a local community, such as police station, antique shop, hairdressers and coffee shop and has been dedicated to a colleague, by the name. These fantastic murals have brightened up the walkways and compliment the excellent facilities at Martins House such as the sensory room, garden room, sweet shop, café, hair salon and stunning gardens.
This visual representation of the community and services, cognitively stimulates our residents and has become a focal point for conversation.
Julie Farmer , Home Manager, commented: “It has been wonderful watching Jade personally develop and grow whilst working with us. Her willingness to go above and beyond her caring duties makes her a valuabale asset to our family. She has created a beautiful display and I can not express my gratitude enough for enriching the lives of residents”.
These fantastic murals depict the essence of what it takes to work in social care, making a difference to the lives of others.
Martins House utilised its winnings from the Summer 2020 garden competition to purchase the materials needed to give this area of the home a make over and thanks to Jade’s artistic talents and dedication, she has contributed to the legacy of the home.
