Baugh House Care Home, Sidcup to Celebrate their “Good” rating by the Care Quality Commission by Giving Away Free Ice Cream
We are delighted that the hard work of our fantastic team at Baugh House has earned the care home an improved rating of “Good” from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The independent regulator of health and social care in England rated the care home “Good” across its five review categories: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.
Shaikh Hassan took over as Care Home Manager in October 2020 and under his leadership the team has continually improved standards across the home. Shaikh explains the team’s approach: “We work closely with staff, residents, relatives, and stakeholders to achieve the best care. We take the time to get to know each resident and create tailored care plans based on their needs and wishes. We regularly gather feedback from residents’ families and use this information to enhance their loved one’s care.”
Personalised care plans are shared and understood by all team members, so they get to know the likes and dislikes, healthcare needs and personalities of those in their care. Meals are a great time to socialise in the home’s comfortable dining areas, and the Chef keeps record of dietary needs and preferences to ensure every resident receives delicious, nutritionally balanced, meals. Shaikh commended the team at the home “They are fantastic, they constantly strive to provide the best care and are committed to continuing their professional development. We are very proud that Baugh House has received “GOOD” ratings across the board by CQC.”
The Baugh House team have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our residents and it is fantastic to see their dedication pay off.
To celebrate their success, we are inviting the local community to join them at Baugh House, 19 Baugh Rd, Sidcup DA14 5ED, on Thursday 15th July 2021, from 2pm when an ice cream van will be visiting to give away free treats*.
*Ice cream will be available on a first come, first served basis as long as stock lasts. Only one ice cream per person. A queuing system will be in operation on the day and social distancing must be maintained at all times by those attending.
