Gold Care Homes provides training in caring for people with dementia as increasing numbers of nursing residents also have dementia. Nurses maintain their professional registration by undertaking regular refresher trainings for PEG and NG feeding, Venapuncture and Cannulation and Wound Care etc.
A training plan ensures all staff are updated in moving and handling, communication, fire safety, Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation Of Liberty Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Challenging & Aggressive Behaviour and Death, Dying and Bereavement, Infection Control, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults. Other specialist training is arranged as required.
