Residential Care

If you are unable to continue to live in your own home even with support from friends, family and care services you may need to move to a residential care home. You have your own bedroom but share communal facilities with other people. There is a manager and staff who will help and support you. A care home is for people who need care and support with everyday living. Moving to a care home is a big step. You must be sure it is the right decision for you, and that there are no better choices. Some people go to a care home for one night or a few nights to give you and your carer a break.
