
Carefully selected staff Queensway House is an equal opportunities employer. There is a team of sixty dedicated men and women from various ethnic and religions backgrounds who make up the permanent staff. In addition Queensway have a bank of casual staff that help to cover sickness and holiday times. There is a comprehensive ongoing training plan for all staff. This includes internal training using videos and training manuals, external courses, distance learning packages and local colleges, hospitals and support services. Topics covered by the training plan includes Moving and Handling, Food Hygiene, Fire Prevention, Health and Safety as well as client specific areas, such as Continence, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, etc. All staff are encouraged to undertake formal training leading to recognised certificates, in the form of the NVQ qualifications.
