RGN Level 1 or 2, registered with NMC with a valid PIN number. Preferably to have Dementia care experience. You must have a genuine interest in caring for the elderly and those with dementia. You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to work using your own initiative and within in a team, guided by the Deputy Manager and Home Manager and have an understanding of the day to day challenges of the care home environment. Duties include attending to the physical and emotional care needs of residents. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by the applicant. JOB SUMMARY The post holder will be responsible for the Care of residents and to work in a team environment to ensure good practices exist. They will deliver physical, psychological and social care to the frail elderly residents of the home, and meeting the needs and supporting the smooth running of the routines within the home. Full participation of the Keyworker system; and contributing to the records maintained, relating to residents and procedures. Other responsibilities will include assisting with medication distribution; acting as a team member, answering enquiries from visitors and professional bodies associated with the care of the residents, and ensuring that any enquiries or tasks beyond knowledge or capability are passed on to the Senior in charge of the shift. |
